How do I know if I'm paying customs fees?

For the purchase of a product from a country outside the European Union, customs fees may be required. These fees generally include: customs duty, VAT and handling fees. For information, orders under 150€ are not subject to customs fees.

The customs duties are to be paid directly to the carrier in charge of the delivery. Payment can generally be made online on the carrier's dedicated portal or by bank transfer. Otherwise, upon delivery, the carrier will provide an invoice and, depending on the case, will ask you to pay the taxes (VAT and/or customs duties).
